Since the market for militaria has become quite large and sometimes confusing, the price valuation of many pieces has also become complicated.
Prices have long been made abroad, especially in the United States, which is the largest sales market for militaria. The price valuation often changes quickly, as the demand often shifts significantly within a few months.
Price according to design / variation
One and the same piece in a different design can also cost a multiple of the basic award. For example, an infantry assault badge made of zinc can be normally priced at around € 100, but a version made from cupal can cost over € 500.
Price according to condition
The same applies to the condition of the award. With the same design and material, a heavily worn item can be well paid for at €50, but the same item, in excellent condition can easily cost € 250 or more.
Then there are also militaria pieces in which the condition is almost irrelevant, as there are collectors for pieces in all states of preservation.
